HOMEWARE

When I am not working on my pit fired vessels, I enjoy designing bespoke homeware sets. It is my belief that we have relationships with the objects that we surround ourselves with in everyday life. Whether it be a mug that fits within the palm of your hands perfectly, just the right size for your coffee, a dinner plate that is the perfect shape, or a bowl of the exact depth of your morning porridge, these things are personal, they have meaning and the power to bring joy and comfort.

More about my homeware..

My homeware is made in sets and is tailor made and designed with specific shapes, forms, colours and sizes for the customer. I am not a production potter, these items are all hand made using the same ancient methods I use to build my vessels. Each piece is forged and refined by my hands using minimal tools. This is a long process, but, it honours each piece as an individual item with its own quirks, making each piece completely irreplaceable and special, a unique object for a unique purpose.

I have developed my colour palette using food safe paint on glazes in layers, combining different colours and mixing fluxes to create a depth. I have created bespoke sets for small businesses, and shops as well as private customers.

If you would like to discuss your own homeware collection or one off piece, please get in touch with me to arrange a consultation.
