Bethany Rose Wells is a ceramic artist based in the village of Harrold, Bedfordshire. She creates hand-built ornamental vessels specialising in firing using unpredictable and exciting methods. Her pit fired work is a celebration of alchemy and ritual, combining the neolithic with the contemporary. The pieces are evocative of the landscape from which they are made, using the elements to capture textures, colours and essence of place.
RECENT WORK..
I have been busy in the Welsh hills working on a new collection of work which I have named Elements, Constellations & Offerings from the earth.
This is my largest collection yet.. fired under a clear sky with the constellations watching over.
